Parkour in China

I knew the word for it before, I know that it's around - just not on this university I'm at now, except for me - and that, just theoretically :-P

Still, there is parkour in China, and since I found the fitting blog post on it, read on here

first article submitted

Long time, no see... doesn't mean I haven't been busy.
I finally finished writing up my first article on parkour, presenting results of the media discourse analysis and - or: as compared to results of - field work.
Presently, the article is under review... let's see what the reviewers have to say!

Jam Session, May 1

A little trip to Mangalsala with a bunch of the Latvian traceurs:

parkour, free running, whatever in parts of former military fortifications...

Some interesting insights, creative use also of more natural surroundings (practicing flips from the sand dunes on the beach); ohhs and ahhs about half-finished buildings which would offer great opportunities; little concern - at least vocally - about the mixture of "disciplines" that people practice...

Nothing more I want to add right now, I need to go on with my writing ;)
